Who we areThe Bloomington Rotary Foundation (BRF) was established in 1986 in order to accept tax-exempt gifts supporting the club’s activities. Initial funding for BRF came from gifts made by club members in memory of deceased Rotarians and spouses.
In 1998, the BRF opened an endowment fund at the Community Foundation of Bloomington and Monroe County (CFBMC); BRF’s initial contribution was matched by $7,500 from the Lilly Endowment. By 2023, the endowment fund had grown to over $80,000. |
Our ProgramsThe BRF serves two key purposes – raising and providing funds to the club for important charitable and educational efforts and serving as a 501(c)(3) organization to accept tax-exempt donations for club efforts.
